Biosciences International Cooperation, BIC, is a division of the Life Sciences Department at the Technology Cooperation Office of Presidency of Islamic Republic of Iran. This division was established in early 2000, with the aim of Development, Coordination & Perusal of international collaborations in the field of Biosciences.

Our Mission
The
first and main task of BIC is to implement the articles of the memorandum of
understanding signed between the Ministry of Science & Transport of Austria
and Technology Cooperation Office of Iran. The goal of this MOU is to combine
the strengths of both countries in order to produce results of mutual benefit.
International collaborations has a long-lasting history of higher rate of success relative to local activities and it is mainly due to the dedication to fulfillment of the terms of bilateral agreements. As a result joint collaborative projects will promote Bioscience Technology based on National Priorities.

the field of Life Sciences

Search through
the Austrian and Iranian databases and/or on an individual basis Joint

Approval
by the Austrian Ministry of Science and the Technology Cooperation Office of
Iran

Support
of
the joint projects via both countries for their share of the project

Contract
indicating
conditions, limitations and terms of protection of intellectual property
rights with an effort towards Joint
Patents.

Continuous
Perusal
of
the projects in order to guarantee goal achievement and extension of support,
if so required.
· Documentation and announcement of Success Stories in order to increase participation.
